About

Our History

Latter Rain Publishing, LLC was founded in 2005 by Elizabeth Martin. Martin, an educator and single mother of three at the time, had a passion for writing, as well as a desire to become published. After editing and co-writing the full-length stage play "The Pastor's Wife" by brilliant playwright, Bridgette-Boyd Monroe, Martin decided to step out on faith and publish her own work.

Upon realizing that she had the talent and skill to create her own product from beginning to end, Martin decided to pursue a degree in graphic design, and her journey began! Her first self-published work was never released in print due to financial constraints. Latter Rain would exist for ten years before releasing its first publication, Ghetto Conversations.

The experience of constantly being rejected by publishers prompted Martin to start her own publishing company. Learning as she entered each new phase of the process, Martin has begun to build a clientele that is passionate about writing, respects the challenge of the publishing process, and seeks to help others reach their potential!
